Fall 2009

It's been awhile and a lot has happened. John is going strong in his second year at Trinity Lutheran Church. Also after waiting for over a year, I am happy to be in a part-time interim position at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. It is good to both be doing what God has called us to and to be able to share that together.

We are in the midst of lots of home projects which is fun, but it takes much more time than we thought. We are making our first house a home though and feeling like Northern Indiana will be a place to stay for awhile.

Bauer has gotten huge. He has not filled out yet, but it tall and skinny right now. He will definitely be mega huge when he fills out. Not so much a puppy anymore, but he still acts like it!

Summer

Can't believe it is already July. Time sure does go by fast. Bauer is getting huge! We were at a garage sale last Saturday and saw the future Bauer, it was a ten year old boxer with the same colorings as Bauer and it was 90 pounds! Well, we will have to train him good to listen well. We are looking forward to the National Youth Gathering at the end of the month and then going back to Long Island to visit family in August. Not much else going on. Peace

Wednesday afternoon

Well, the week is half over already and January is just flying by. John is at church tonight. I decided to stay home to work on my sermon. I am filling in for a pastor for a couple of weeks and loving the chance to preach and be with a congregation if only for just a few weeks. I guess I am procrastinating just a bit on that sermon preparation, gotta get to it. I'm ready to go visit Florida though, I got my car stuck in the snow this morning and was late to work, yuck. We're excited about Trinity's Winter Ministry Institute on the Emerging Church! If you are around Columbus, OH next month you should go, lots of good speakers! That's about it for now, I should get to work on that sermon.

Welcome!

Welcome to our blog. Hopefully we'll be able to keep this updated with all that is going on. We are glad to start the new year and to see what God will bring our way. John is enjoying his call as pastor of Trinity Lutheran in Goshen. He keeps busy and is excited about his ministry alongside the people there. Andrea is working as a teacher's assistant at a nearby elementary school, but still waiting for a call. She is working with kindergartners and it is great, lots of hugs :) Our family has grown from one dog to two, we now have an almost 5 month old boxer puppy named Bauer (you guessed it, named after Jack!). Pictures will be soon to follow.
